Facilities & Administration Management Support
This division provides a wide range of ADP and non-ADP related facility management and administrative support services to Federal government agencies and commercial clients. These services include:
- Facilities Management Support Services which include a wide range
of non-ADP related work activities and facility management functions for Federal agencies which, as a result of the A-76 Program, the government has elected to contract out rather than perform with government employees. These agency support activities may include the performance of information/document clearinghouse operations; and/or the management and operation of warehouses, mailrooms, telephone centers, or other administrative and clerical support operations.
- Computer Center Facility Management including the provision of the
management, technical and administrative support staff necessary to effectively and efficiently operate an agency's computer facility or facilities. These services may include:
- Hardware, Installation, Integration, and Operation for system
expansion or the addition of new facilities. Services may include development of equipment, specifications, assistance in the vendor selection process, design of benchmark and equipment performance test programs to verify and validate equipment design specifications, integration of selected hardware and software components into an operational environment, and provision ofend user training support as needed.
- Software Systems Implementation including the design,
coding, and testing of special purpose application programs tailored tomeet client needs as well as installation and testing of general purpose software packages either provided by the system integrator or made available through third party software suppliers.
- Systems/Application Software Modification and Maintenance
including the provision of programming support to tailor general purpose software packages for increased efficiency through the development of screen menu programs or new report formats. Also includes maintenance of software updates to ensure maximum effectiveness of software packages.
- Database Management including the creation/administration
of databases, performance timing, and normalization in the microcomputer, minicomputer and mainframe computer environments using a wide range of database software.
- Data Entry including the provision of source data entry staff
support for keying data into the system in the client desired format and quality levels.
- Maintain Ongoing Computer Operations including monitoring
and controlling the system by operating the control console(s), monitoring storage devices, printers, disk drives, and observing the action and output of each console to monitor the system and determine the point of equipment or program failure. Includes running scheduled and non-scheduled jobs, providing computer system status reports, issuing computer supplies and maintaining computer room supply inventory, mounting and dismounting tapes and disk packs as required, placing production printouts in Production Control for distribution, replacing printer ribbons and printer paper, and performing preventive maintenance as required.
- LAN and WAN Facility Management including the provision of the
management, technical, and administrative support staff necessary to effectively and efficiently operate an agency's Local Area and/or Wide Area Networks. These services may include:
- LAN and WAN System Design and Integration including
hardware component selection, acquisition, installation, and testing; software selection, installation, customized programming, and user training; and ongoing system maintenance and operational support.
- Configuration Management including control of the
maintenance and expansion of hardware and software at the installation, system, application and program levels.
- Communications Management including network analysis,
system security, user support, problem resolution, and operational improvements.
- On Site User Training including the provision of general
and special purpose user training materials and courses on systems and use of application programs.
- Hotline Operation and Maintenance including the
establishment and operation of a help desk accessible via telephone at all times during normal working hours to answer user questions concerning the use and operation of the system hardware and software components, or to provide on-line trouble shooting assistance to resolve specific user problems.
- System/Application Software Modification and Maintenance
including the provision of programming support to tailor general purpose software packages for increased efficiency through the development of screen menu programs or use of other programming techniques or tools.
